The World of Tim Burton

As one of the most renowned directors in the industry, Tim Burton’s new exhibition is must-see for creatives and fans alike who wish to see the beginnings of his work and career, right through to 2024.

The World of Tim Burton is currently showcasing at the Design Museum, London until 21st April 2025. During the exhibition, you’ll be able to see Burton’s cinematic work along with illustrations, paintings, photographs, sketchbooks, moving-image, sculptures, set and costume designs, collaborations and storytelling.

During the exhibition you’ll see Burton’s original work right from the beginning of his sketches and getting the attention of Disney to becoming an animator apprentice working on stop-motion productions such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride. His current work of Netflix’ Wednesday and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is also available to see.

Once your mind has been filled with creativity, you can visit two gift shops at the museum - there is one right at the exit of Tim Burton’s exhibition and another one at the main Design Museum gift shop. Both have souvenirs linked to the exhibition including clothing, books and stationery you can buy. I highly recommend looking at the ‘Designing Worlds’ book by Tim Burton ( you have the opportunity to buy this whilst booking your tickets too).

If you’re a member of the Design Museum, you’ll be able to visit the exhibition for free, although to see this as a non-member you’ll need to pay via the museums’ website directly at https://designmuseum.org, which will cost;
