Durdle Door, Dorset
As part of the Jurassic World Heritage Site, Durdle Door is a wonderful place to explore. Whether you’re looking for a hike, a sit down picnic to take in the views or even sea adventures like paddle boarding or swimming, this is a beautiful coast to visit!

Coastal Walk
Now, to take a peak at the beautiful scenery at Durdle Door there is a challenging walk from the visitor centre/car park starting with some steep steps up to the top of the hill and as a caution, this may not be suitable for someone who is mobility impaired and would recommend bringing along some sturdy trainers/walking boots to help with the rocky footpath.
If you’re used to hiking the walk can take around 30 minutes from Lulworth car park to Durdle Door, although if you’d like to take in the views along the way or stop for some short breaks, this can take over an hour.
Dog Friendly
At Durdle Door you’re welcome to bring along your furry companions where they can enjoy the walk with you and have fun at the beach and in the sea. It is recommended to bring along a portable bowl/drinking bottle to keep your dog hydrated, especially walking up the hills and rocky terrain and if you’d like to be extra cautious, a doggy first aid kit would come in handy too if the worst was to happen.
